Cellboost Portable Power Expands Its Product Lineup

By Staff -- TWICE, 9/26/2005

Woodland Hills, Calif.— Compact Power Systems, makers of Cellboost portable power solutions, is delivering an expanded line, including Cellboost for Apple iPods, iPod minis and the iPod shuffle.

Featuring the same technology as Cellboost for cellphones, Cellboost keeps portable consumer electronics devices powered from one to eight hours after batteries die, or when cells are low and recharging is not an option.

The new line is pocket-sized, inserts into the same port as the standard AC charger and will restore power to a dead or dying device within seconds, without using electrical outlets, battery changes or cords.

Additionally, the line includes the company's first line of lithium-ion rechargeable solutions. Called iRecharge, this is designed to provide alternative backup power for iPods, iPod minis and iPod shuffles. The iRecharge will give an extra 12 hours of playtime to iPods and minis and 40 hours to shuffles.

Cellboost retails range from $7.99 to $14.99. The iRecharge lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack with belt clip for Apple iPod and iPod mini is $69.99, while the iRecharge for the iPod shuffle is $39.99.
