Industry Leader Gary Warzin, 56

INDIANAPOLIS — Gary Warzin, 56, founder, president/CEO of Audiophile Systems, Ltd. and member of the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA) executive board, died Saturday, Aug. 27.

"CEA joins the Warzin family, friends and the entire consumer electronics industry in mourning the loss of Gary Warzin," said CEA's president/CEO Gary Shapiro in a prepared statement. "Gary was a true leader within our industry. His passion for consumer electronics, and the audio industry in particular, inspired all who worked with him." At CEA he was chairman of the audio division and former chairman of the high-end audio subdivision.

He is survived by his wife Julie, daughter Tracie, son-in-law Jarrod Bunce and two grandchildren. To remember Warzin, his family suggests that making a contribution to the American Heart Association ( www.americanheart.org), or a charity of choice.
