CEA Draws Top Execs To CEO Summit In Colorado

By Staff -- TWICE, 7/11/2005

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Consumer Electronics Association's annual CEO Summit, which marks the end of the first half, drew top manufacturing and retail executives during the four-day event last month at the Broadmoor Hotel, here.

One highlight was a roundtable consisting of Pioneer Electronics' (USA) chairman/CEO Tom Haga; D.J. Oh, president/CEO of Samsung Electronics; Panasonic Corporation of America's chairman/CEO Yoshi Yamada; and moderated by CEA's president/CEO Gary Shapiro. (See story, p. 1.) Another highlight was Shapiro's one-on-one discussion with CompUSA's CEO Larry Mondry. (See story, p. 22.)

While networking with each other, one of the main attractions of this event, attendees also enjoyed golf, white-water rafting, hiking and rappelling in the Cheyenne Canyon. As these pictures show, a good time was had by all.
