Tom Rogers, vice-chairman of TiVo's board since September 2003, joins the company full time as president/CEO. He replaces TiVo co-founderMike Ramsay. Prior to joining TiVo, Rogers was chairman/CEO of Primedia and, earlier, president of NBC Cable and executive VP of NBC where he led the creation of CNBC and the formation of the MSNBC partnership with Microsoft ... Carl Vogel, EchoStar's president from 1994 to 1997, has returned to the company in a full-time role as vice chairman and has named Michael A. Neuman as the company's new president and COO. Vogel had executive positions with Primestar, Star Choice, Charter Communications and Liberty Media since leaving EchoStar. Neuman, ex-president of Bell Canada Enterprises subsidiary Bell Mobility, fills a post that had been vacant for more than a year ... Claire Babrowski, formerly chief restaurant operations officer at McDonald's, joins RadioShack as executive VP/COO, responsible for channel operations, merchandising, marketing and advertising, retail services and real estate. She began her career working at a McDonald's at age 16 … Al Silverberg, president of Uniden America, has stepped down to “pursue a new business venture,” the company said. He has been replaced by Rich Tosi, a nine-year Uniden veteran and former national sales manager ... Michael Smith, Lutron distributor sales director, assumes newly-created position of area sales VP for the Atlantic area ... Shane Samole, founder/CEO of Excalibur Electronics, was given the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Manufacturing and Distribution in Florida ... John Roberts has joined AgfaPhoto as consumer products senior marketing manager ... David Matthews, ex-Crutchfield, Dell exec, has joined Circuit City as president of the chain's multichannel direct sales operations, reporting to COO Fiona Dias. Also joining Circuit is Steven Jackson, who was named VP/real estate … OfficeMax's Ryan Vero was promoted from executive VP/merchandising to executive VP/chief merchandising officer … Tami Morrison has joined Warrantech Home Service Co. as a regional sales manager. Ultimate Electronics veteran Steve Wood has joined Bernie's, the New England brown goods, white goods and furniture chain, as VP/merchandising and marketing.
