OXNARD, Calif. — Scosche Industries, here, announced it is shipping one of the first stereo Bluetooth wireless interfaces for iPod and MP3 players designed to wirelessly link them to car or home audio systems.

The Scosche transmitter connects directly to the headphone output of the iPod/MP3 unit and transmits to a Bluetooth receiver connected to the car stereo's auxiliary input. The Bluetooth adapter has a wireless range of 30 feet and a 15-hour transmitter lithium-ion battery life. It is Bluetooth 1.2 compliant for continuous streaming audio and can pair with an unlimited number of receivers.

The new models IPBCK (for the iPod) and UBCK (universal cradle for MP3 players) ship with a vehicle kit at $249. The home kits will be available this fall at $249 suggested retail price each.
