Sanus Readies Flat-Panel Speaker Stands
-- TWICE, 6/20/2005
St. Paul, Minn. — Designed in response to the exploding popularity of flat-panel plasma and LCD televisions, the Flat-Panel Foundations speaker stand, model FF1s from Sanus Systems, is a “stylish” extruded aluminum pedestal contoured to fit the rounded back of new-generation flat-panel speakers.
The stand offers a base of contoured tempered glass with chrome feet to go with the “smoothly engineered” shape of the FF1s, in order to complement today's flat-panel TV displays. The company's wire-management system keeps wires totally hidden in the pillar, while the universal mounting system of the FF1s provides height adjustment and works with most speaker makers' flat-panel speakers.
The Flat Panel Foundation speaker stands are sold in pairs at a suggested $159.99. Each package contains two pillars, two glass bases and six chrome feet. Pillars are 39.5 inches high with a base plate that is 16 inches wide by 12 inches deep. The speaker height adjustment range extends to 13 inches.
