Gentec Charger Features LCD Indicator

By Staff -- TWICE, 5/23/2005

Markham, Ontario — Dedicated lithium-ion (Li-ion) digital camera batteries can be charged in as little as 30 minutes with the Optex CamPower Li5000 rapid charger from Gentec International.

The single charger is compatible with over 90 Li-ion batteries, through either the base unit or the supplied charging plate. The plate features automatic polarity detection that allows the plate to switch polarity direction and adapt to how the battery is inserted into the charging plate.

The Li5000 features an LCD display with battery fuel gauge indicator for ease of identification of charging status at any time. The compact charger offers a 110/240 AC adapter for international travel and a DC adapter for charging in a vehicle.

Suggested retail for the Optex CamPower Li5000 charger is $79.95. The unit will be available in June.
