By Staff -- TWICE, 5/23/2005

Woodland Hills, Calif.— Compact Power Systems, makers of the Cellboost disposable battery, is putting an extra charge into the Apple ipod and Apple iPod mini.

The company's new iRecharge for iPod, with removable belt clip, is a rechargeable battery pack that offers 12 hours of playing time for the standard iPod. It will be available in an April-May timeframe, but not as a standalone product. It will be combined, as part of an iPod Value Pack, model VPST, which includes the Cellboost for iPod, a genuine leather protective case and the iRecharge with a removable belt clip. Suggested retail will be between $50 and $70.
