ORLANDO, FLA. — Cable maker Tributaries is offering two adapters that provide solutions for the transition from DVI to HDMI. These include the HDMI (female) to DVI-D (male) and DVI-D (female) to HDMI (male) units.
Both Tributaries adapters are made with gold-plated contacts which are surrounded by a copper-foil shield and over-molded with a rugged black polyvinyl chloride shell. All contact surfaces and external metal parts are gold plated.
Tributaries said it ensures the integrity of the HDMI signal by precise engineering of internal lead length and by "potting" the internal connector, which ensures stable conductor lengths over time.
Tributaries HDMI to DVI-D and DVI-D to HDMI adapters have a suggested retail of $50.
