Waves Audio Intros MaxxBass

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 4/4/2005

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Waves Audio is introducing a new MaxxBass 103 processor that allows car audio door speakers to deliver deep bass.

According to Waves, the processor uses psycho-acoustic technology, which extends the bass frequencies more than an octave below the physical limitations of the speakers.

The MaxxBass 103 comes with a remote gain control, so users can vary the processing from the front seat. The unit is especially designed for cars where there is little room for a subwoofer; however, the unit can also be used in conjunction with a subwoofer to enhance its bass. The MaxxBass 103 has a suggested retail price of $149.
