Philips Sounds Out 'Ultimate Gaming Experience'

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/4/2005

Clifton, N.J. — PC gaming fans who want to “feel” the action as well as hear powerful sound and interact with players are target consumers for the HG100 interactive gaming headphone from Philips Accessories and Computer Peripherals North America.

The headphone offers an adjustable microphone boom for a “perfect” fit and a “truly exhilarating gaming experience,” said Philips. This allows users to interact with chat-line friends or gaming opponents through the fully adjustable boom that ensures optimal voice pickup at all times.

Users also can feel the gaming experience all around with ear and neck active motion enhancers. In-cord game enhancer controls can be set to optimize game-enhancing features, while the ergonomic one-sided cord gives gamers maximum freedom of movement to play.

The headphone has a 1/4-inch stereo adapter with a 9.75-foot cord. Power supply comes from a 1x1.5V battery.

The HG100 is expected to have a suggested retail range of $79.99 to $89.99, with late-spring availability.
