TDK Video DVD Teams With Home DVD Video Recorders

Garden City, N.Y. — TDK is introducing an expanded lineup of recordable DVD media, including new Video DVD discs, which is digital media specifically designed for home DVD video recorders.

Called the perfect accessory for home DVD recorders, allowing users to record all live TV, cable and satellite programs and movies directly to DVD, discs also are ideal for archiving photos and transferring home camcorder videos and VHS tapes.

TDK Video DVD discs are available in DVD+R and DVD-R write-once formats and in re-recording or rewritable DVD+RW and DVD-RW formats.

The Video DVD-/+R discs are shipping this quarter at estimated street prices of $6.99 for a five-pack and $44.99 for a 50-piece spindle. Video DVD-/+RW, also shipping this quarter, comes in at estimated street prices of $9.99 per five-pack and $22.99 for a 25-piece spindle.
