Vantage Point Premiers LCD Articulating Wall Mount

Staff -- TWICE, 3/7/2005

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. — A new addition to the Vantage Point Axsys line of LCD mounting systems, called the LCD Articulating wall mount, is a “cost-effective” mounting solution for larger LCD monitors that need greater support and articulation.

Designed to support LCD monitors with 200mm by 200mm, 200mm by 100mm, or 100mm by100mm VESA hole patterns, the Axsys articulating wall mount can safely hold monitors weighing up to 100 pounds, said Vantage Point. It also features a design that allows for leveling of the monitor, up to 5 degrees rotation left or right, in any position it is placed.

The mount permits for 5 degrees upward tilt and 15 degrees downward tilt and extends 18.5 inches from the wall, which allows for 180 degree side-to-side viewing depending on the size of the monitor. The mount is said to be perfect for corner mounting, fixed position viewing or for the application where the monitor must be turned frequently from viewing area to viewing area. It can be pushed back against the wall when articulation is not necessary.

Vantage Point also is offering the “first” center-channel speaker mount accessory, which can be added on to the LCD Articulating wall mount to maximize the surround sound experience.

Available in black or silver powder coated finish, the AX2AWL01-S and AX2AWL01-B retail for a suggested $129.99 and will begin shipping in April.

Other products in the new Axsys 200mm line include the LCD flat mount, retailing for a suggested $49.99; the LCD tilting mount for $79.99; and the LCD Articulating ceiling mount for $129.99.
