Phase Technology Pumps In-Wall Speaker Versatility

Jacksonville, Fla. — Phase Technology is introducing its CIFG-QM mounting system for the company’s Series VII custom installation family of rectangular in-wall speakers.
The mounts, which allow the speakers to be installed without using a single screw, according to the company, use swivel latches to fully lock speakers into the universally designed wall flange. The Custom Installation family consists of six speakers, five of which use the new CIFG-QM mounting system. Each speaker mounts flush with walls, and has a grille and flange that can be painted or wallpapered to match existing décor.
Model CI-70VII is the first to feature a 1.5-inch midrange driver as well as a 7-inch mineral-injected polypropylene woofer — the largest in the series — and a 1-inch soft-dome, user-adjustable tweeter.
Suggested retail for the CI-70VII is $425. Four others in the VII series range from $150 to $300, while the CI-11011, with 6.5-inch RPF flat-piston woofer, is $700.
