Chief Offers Large Flat-Panel Dual-Swing-Arm Wall Mount

Staff -- TWICE, 3/7/2005

Savage, Minn. — Called a “breakthrough” mount design for large, flat panels, and offering a comprehensive feature set, the PDR dual-swing-arm wall mount from Chief Manufacturing includes an advanced cable management system, built-in lateral shift with both pre- and post-installation, built-in height adjustment and an open wall plate to position outlets in any location.

The PDR also features Chief’s gravity-centered tilt design that allows smooth hand tilting of flat panels and Q-Latch mounting system for ease of installation and secure low-profile mounting. To attain a flush-mounted appearance, the back plate of the PDR can be recessed into walls or cabinetry and the display latched in the home position.

The PDR, which provides “exceptionally wide” viewing angles and viewing from different rooms, has a low-profile 2.9-inch depth from the wall and extends out 36 inches. It pivots 90 degrees right or left of center and provides “easy” pitch adjustment by hand — 5 degrees up and 25 degrees down. It is compatible with 42-inch, 50-inch and 63-inch-plus flat panels weighing up to 200 pounds.

Suggested retail is $749 and availability is this spring.
