Tripp Lite Powers Up New Product Line

Staff -- TWICE, 2/7/2005

Chicago— New lines of surge suppressors, UPS systems and cabling are being introduced by power protection maker Tripp Lite.

Designed specifically for home/small business theater applications, the surge and line noise protection can be used with every component, such as high-definition TVs, VCRs, DVD recorders, PVRs, satellite and A/V receivers, DVD/CD players and more.

Surge suppressors feature the highest joule rating, along with the highest insurance levels to cover equipment against surge damage. Joules range from 1200 up to 5700, and guaranteed surge protection insurance ranges from $50,000 up to $500,000.

Suggested retails for five new home/business theater surge suppressors include HTPOWERBAR10, $189 to $199; HT10DBS, $139 to $149; HT1010SAT3, $89 to $99; HT706TSAT, $29 to $33; and HT706TV, $24 to $27.

The HT1500UPS provides up to three hours of battery backup support during recording, to preserve settings and recorded programs through blackouts and brownouts. It offers eight outlets and $100,000 in surge protection insurance. Suggested retail is $169.

Tripp Lite's new connectivity product line includes RGB coax, S-Video, DVI video, high-resolution audio, digital-optical audio, subwoofer, FireWire, USB 2.0 cables and more. The new cables provide all components with A/V connection solutions with premium shielding and gold connectors on most models. Suggested retails range from $14.99 to $44.99.
