Flat, 8-Conductor Speaker Cable Designed For Biwire Applications

Staff -- TWICE, 2/7/2005

Hudson, N.Y. — River Cable has developed Flexygy 8, an eight-conductor, flat and flexible loudspeaker cable that is said to be ideal for biwire applications.

The biwire speaker cable offers unsurpassed performance, said River Cable, including low capacitance, which is especially important for dynamic coil speakers. The Flexygy 8 has a capacitance specification that is extremely low, and the product includes “unique” flat topology and a “tremendous” amount of copper contained in its eight conductors, which results in a ratio of low resistance to capacitance.

Flexygy can be installed under carpets, along baseboards — offering a flexibility the company said can't be beat in a cable of this gauge.

Suggested Flexygy 8 retails will enjoy introductory special pricing of a 3 meter pair for $404.99. The cable will be sold in lengths of 2 meters through 5 meters and 8 meters, 10 meters, 12 meters and 15 meters. Availability is February.
