Atlantic Bows Variety Of Storage Products

Santa Fe Springs, Calif.— Home multimedia storage products maker Atlantic introduced a solution that should help consumers store all media in one convenient place. Called the Vision line of digital library systems, it features the company's hanging file system that contains hanging files, organizational tabs and a lift-up panel for ease of access. The Vison line, introduced at International CES in Las Vegas last month, contains several adjustable shelves and comes in two styles.

The Vision-DLS/479 CD stores an entire collection out of sight and dust-free, It features two swing doors with storage compartments and 10 shelves per door. An additional main fixed shelf and four adjustable shelves provide storage for 329 CDs and 150 disks, or 152 DVDs and 30 CDs. The wood veneer unit has a suggested $149.99 retail.

The Vision-DLS/490 CD wood veneer unit features open storage, with four adjustable shelves and one fixed shelf. It boasts storage for 250 CDs and 240 disks, or 102 DVDs and 240 disks. Suggested retail is $79.99, and Vision-line availability is April.

New from Atlantic is Cargo, an urban-inspired line of portable DVD player and CD cases, and Metro, a line of portable, basic black CD cases “with a twist.”

The Cargo DVD Player Case provides protection and storage for a 7-inch DVD player and six discs. Mounted on the back seat of a car, the product features quick-access CD slots, a zippered mesh pocket for accessories and Velcro to secure the player. Suggested retail has not been annouced.

A Cargo CD wallet includes external storage, and is available in 208-, 128-, 64-, 32- and 12-capacity sizes. Suggested retails are $39.99, $29.99, $19.99, not announced and $9.99, respectively.

Atlantic's Metro CD Collection is designed with a fun twist to basic black. It combines smooth black leatherette with perforated sections of “dots.” The collection is available in 356- , 208- , 128- , 96- , 48- 32- and 12-capacity sizes. Suggested retails are not announced, $34.99, $24.99, $16.99 and $12.99, respectively, and not announced for the 32 and 12.

The Cargo and Metro lines will be available in March.

Atlantic makes its new Manhattan Collection of home theater storage in walnut and steel, while it features five products for home theater — large main unit, audio tower, speaker stands, shelving and wall-mount storage. Availability is March.

The Manhattan main unit can hold up to 310 pounds on its tops shelf. It is designed for TVs and other materials and has a suggested $179.99 retail. The audio tower offers four shelves and retails for $139.99. The speaker stands hold speakers up to 12 pounds. Retail is $89.99. The shelving can hold 180 CDs or 128 DVDs. The system is $89.99. Wall-mount storage is a shelf designed to hold 92 CDs or 62 DVDs. Retail is $39.99.

Atlantic also is debuting its first collection of speaker stands and shelves. The Quad speaker stand is made for bookshelf and satellite speakers at a suggested $79.99 retail. The contemporary Tower speaker stand holds satellite and bookshelf speakers along with 56 CDs and 40 DVDs at $39.99. Painted wood Tomas wall mountable speaker shelves can be mounted with brackets or double-sided tape. Shelves have a suggested $19.99 for two per box. Availability for all stands and shelves is March.
