Plantronics Bows Digital Headsets For PCs And Macs

SANTA CRUZ, CALIF. -Plantronics is offering a new line of digitally enhanced USB headsets for PCs and Macs.

The four headsets-a digital monaural speech-recognition type, a digital traveler stereo unit, a digital gaming/multimedia stereo product and a digital lightweight stereo item-are designed for easy plug-and-play performance. These offer digital-quality stereo and microphone capabilities, digital signal processing technology, bonus third-party software and Plantronics PC audio control software.

The DSP-100 Digitally-Enhanced Speech Recognition Headset & Software, at a suggested $89.95 retail, is designed for Internet telephony/chat and voice and speech-recognition applications.

The DSP-300 Digitally-Enhanced USB Lightweight Stereo Headset & Software, at a suggested $109.95 retail, is designed for computer audio such as listening to CDs and MP3 music files, as well as speech recognition.

The DSP-400 Digitally-Enhanced USB Foldable Stereo Headset & software, at a suggested $119.95 retail, can fold down for easy storage and transport, helping users who travel with a notebook computer.

The DSP-500 Digitally-Enhanced USB Gaming/Multimedia Headset & Software, at a suggested $139.95, is a stereo-gaming headset designed for maximum sound with PC and Internet games.

All units are currently available, except the DSP-400, which will be available this month.
