Vidikron Sets Ship Dates, Pricing

INDIANAPOLIS — Vidikron used CEDIA Expo to announce pricing and availability dates on three microdisplay front projectors in its high-performance Vision series.

Vision model 60, which carries a $12,995 suggested retail, was billed as a three-chip D-ILA front projector with a 1,400 by 788 native resolution, integrated Imagix video processing with 3:2 pull-down, 1,000 ANSI Lumens or (CSMS light output of 17.9 foot-Lamberts), an 800:1 contrast ratio and multiple aspect ratio capability using the IntelliWide mode.

Inputs include DVI with HDCP and discrete IR and RS-232 controls.

The Vidikron Vision Model 80, which carries a $29,995 suggested retail, is a three-chip D-ILA-based front projector with 1,920 by 1,080 resolution (1080p) designed for placement in dedicated home theater environments. It carries a $29.995 suggested retail

The Vision Model 100, which also carries a $29,995 suggested retail, is a three-chip DLP projector that is optimized for use in rooms with a higher amount of ambient lighting conditions, the company said.
