Shop.org Summit Set For Anaheim

Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 9/27/2004

Anaheim, Calif. — Shop.org, the e-commerce arm of the National Retail Federation (NRF), will hold its 2004 Annual Summit here next week at the Anaheim Marriott.

The event, which runs Oct. 5-7, is designed as an “interactive forum for e-tail industry members to gather for networking, strategizing, fact-finding and education in a non-commercial atmosphere,” the trade group said.

This year's keynote speakers will include Best Buy's CEO Brad Anderson and Bruce Nelson, chairman/CEO of Office Depot. Anderson will also participate in an interactive session that will explore the dynamics between e-commerce executives and the senior level managers who decide when and how much to invest in online operations.

Other sessions will include a panel discussion on the future of online retailing featuring Randy Ronning, executive VP of QVC.com, and a presentation on what it takes in cyberspace to capture the attention and disposable dollars of women.
