XM To Launch Online Service

WASHINGTON — XM Satellite Radio will make its subscription service available over the Internet in October. As part of the launch, Dell customers who purchase Dell Inspiron notebook and Dimension desktop computers will receive a trial offer for the service.

XM Radio Online subscribers will get XM's commercial-free music channels and other XM content over the Internet for a monthly fee of $7.99. XM Satellite Radio subscribers who have home or car tuners get the Internet service for only $3.99 per month.

Beginning mid-October, Dell Inspiron notebook and Dimension desktop customers will receive an exclusive free, 30-day trial subscription to XM Radio. Dell customers will be able to access XM Radio Online through the Dell Media Experience (DMX) portal.
