Coby Ships New LCD TV Models

MASPETH, N.Y. — Coby Electronics said it is now shipping a new line of high-performance LCD televisions, and LCD TV/DVD combo products.

The lineup includes three LCD TV models in the 15-inch ($519.95 suggested retail) 17W-inch and 20-inch ($829.95) screen sizes, and an LCD/DVD combo model in the 15-inch ($629.95) screen size.

In the stand-alone TV models, the 15-inch TF-TV1503 offers 1024 by 768 screen resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio, a 400:1 contrast ratio and 500 cd/m2 brightness.

The 17W-inch model — TF-TV1703 ($689.95 suggested) — features a 1024 by 768 screen resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 400:1 contrast ratio and 450 cd/m2 brightness. Inputs include component video.

The 20-inch model TF-TV2003 offers 800 by 600 screen resolution, a 500:1 contrast ratio; 4:3 aspect ratio, and 500 cd/m2 brightness. Inputs include component video connections.

Both combo products feature side-mounted DVD players that are compatible with DVD video, CD audio, and CD-RW discs and MP3 music file formats.

The 15-inch combo — model TF-DVD1540 — features a 1024-by-768 screen resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio, a 400:1 contrast ratio and 350 cd/m2 brightness. Inputs include component video connections.

All models are wall mountable and can be used for 12 volt applications as well.

The company also announced plans to introduce a 25W-inch, 27W-inch and 30W-inch LCD TV models later this year.
