Maxx Products Ships TruVision Plasma Lineupp

PENN VALLEY, CALIF. — Maxx Products said it is now shipping three new home theater-targeted TruVision plasma displays in the 42W-inch and 50W-inch screen sizes.

The three models, which will be on display at the CEDIA Convention in Indianapolis, Sept. 10 to Sept. 12, include the TruVision 42, 42W-inch EDTV monitor, the 42W-inch TruVision 42HD high-definition monitor and the 50W-inch TruVision 50HD high-definition monitor.

The TruVision 42 ($4,495 suggested retail) has 852 by 480 pixel EDTV resolution; a 3,000:1 contrast ratio; and offers a choice of bezels in glossy black, flat black, white and red.

Panel brightness is listed at 1,000cd/m2, and the viewing angle is said to be 160 degrees.

The TruVision 42HD ($6,495 suggested retail) and 50HD ($6,995) offer 1,366 by 768 pixel resolution; a 3,000:1 contrast ratio; and PC resolution settings of UXGA, SXGA, XGA, SVGA and VGA. A/V connections include S-Video, composite, HD component video, DVI and D-Sub inputs.
