Guide Remote Adds Sports And Other Content To Lineup

Staff -- TWICE, 8/23/2004

Tustin, Calif.— Consumers will now have the ability to receive sports or other content directly to their remote control, the latest feature in the growing line of Guide Remotes from Evolve Solutions.

Powered by the Evolve Network and utilizing second-screen technology, sports enthusiasts can download and view updated schedules, news, statistics and standings of their favorite sports, players and teams — right to their remote control.

By adding customizable content, fans will have the ability to follow their favorite sport, player or driver, as well as the ability to search what is on television, all in one device. Evolve provides universal remotes containing free TV listings.

Content for future Guide Remotes could include world or local news, shopping discounts, hotel and airline award programs, weather and travel information.

The Guide Remote allows users to access weekly custom TV program information right in the palm of their hand and to see what's on now or what's on next, without missing what they are currently watching. Consumers can download via a USB connection from a PC up to seven days of subscription-free TV listings and program descriptions, plus customizable sports content directly to their remote control.

The Guide Remote is a fully back-lighted universal remote control consolidating television, VCR, DVD, cable and satellite remote controls, with the convenience of personalized TV listings on an LCD screen.

Suggested retail is $49.99 for the already available remote.
