Allsop Debuts 'Space-Age' Mousepad

Staff -- TWICE, 7/26/2004

Bellingham, Wash.— Allsop is offering an ergonomically designed MousePad Pro mousepad for home and office that incorporates "innovative" memory foam technology, said to help prevent, and offer relief from, repetitive stress disorders and other physical stresses associated with computer usage.

The memory foam MousePad Pro is simply designed, with raised wrist rest and a large round "mousing" surface.

Benefits include keeping the hand and wrist in a natural position while mousing, relieving stress on wrist pressure points due to the foam conforming and adjusting to body contours, improving blood circulation because the pad retains the user's body temperature, and compatibility with both standard and optical mice.

Allsop says other ergonomic mousepads that use gel or multiple layers of hard foam address only one of the MousePad Pro's benefits. The company points out the conforming pillow, which reduces the amount of constant effort required in mousing. Suggested retail is $13.99.
