Sanus' New Mount Offers Innovative Features

Staff -- TWICE, 6/21/2004

St. Paul, Minn.— A "revolutionary," new flat-panel mount from Sanus Systems requires no tools to tilt, swivel and pan a television and offers rotation adjustment that allows proper TV leveling.

Called the VisionMount Universal Tilt, Swivel and Pan Wall Mount, or VMSA, the unit fits 30-inch to 60-inch flat-panel plasma and LCD TVs, up to 150 pounds.

The Sanus VMSA is constructed of solid heavy-gauge steel and extruded aluminum and includes a Virtual Axis and fingertip tilt system. Tilt range is plus or minus 12 degrees, and swivel range is plus or minus 30 degrees. Both may vary with the size of the television.

Pan range is 180 degrees, rotation adjustment is plus or minus 6 degrees and extension range is 2.5 inches to 10 inches. Some televisions may require an adapter bracket, which is sold separately. Other features include users being able to pull a television away from a wall and tilt-up for ease of wiring and ease of installation.

The unit, at a suggested $349 retail, is available in both durable silver or black powder-coated finish. Shipping had been set for mid-May..
