Futurehome Joins HTSA

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA.— Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) added its 50th dealer, representing an all-time high for the group's membership ranks.
Joining the high-end A/V buying organization is Futurehome Systems & Design, a 13-year-old specialty store in Fresno, Calif. that was founded by Jim Richards, a 20-year veteran of GE's major appliance and CE businesses, and a former retail chain merchandising VP.
The addition of Futurehome follows last month's additions of Audio Video Showroom of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Kief's Audio/Video in Lawrence, Kan.
HTSA executive director Richard Glikes said the additions reflect a group goal this year of filling geographic voids with qualified members.
