Lexmark Unveils New Monochrome Laser Line

By Doug Olenick -- TWICE, 6/21/2004

Lexington, Ky.— Lexmark last week introduced a five-unit family of monochrome laser printers with a starting suggested retail price of $199.

The printers are designed for use in either a home or office with optional networking capability, memory expansion and 550-sheet paper drawer.

The printer line starts out with the Lexmark E232 and E232t. Both have 22-page-per-minute (ppm) print speeds and 8.5 seconds to print startup. The former carries a $199 suggested price tag and the latter, which adds a second 550-sheet paper tray, is priced at $299.

The E330, E332n and E332tn offer a print speed of 27ppm, 8 seconds to print startup time and include a 200MHz processor. Memory options for all three models range between 32MB to 128MB of SDRAM, and various wired networking choices are available. The E330, $399 suggested retail price, is the base model containing these features. The E332n is geared for use in a small office workgroup environment and features an internal network adapter. The E33tn adds a second 550-sheet paper tray. Respective suggested retail prices are $499 and $599. All three have a 15,000 print duty cycle.
