Gentec Headset Plays Up Earpiece Speaker

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/7/2004

Markham, Ontario— A "unique" earpiece speaker system is featured on a hands-free headset from Gentec International.

Called the Roots AirWave Mobile Phone Headset, model RHF800/RHF801, the hands-free system features a laboratory-proven AirWave technology that provides crisp, clear sound through an acoustic chamber and flexible tube.

Other features are a versatile ear bud design that includes seven interchangeable earpiece covers for a comfortable, custom fit, and AirWave technology that protects against radiation produced by headsets. The unit also has a high-sensitivity noise-canceling microphone; one-touch send/end button that may act as a mute button on phones that don't support this feature; and a mini clip that helps keep the earpiece in place or close at hand when not in use.

The unit offers a universal 2.5mm plug, compatible with most mobile phones, including Audivox, Kyocera, LG, Motorola and Samsung. Colors are black (800) and red (801). Suggested retail is $34.99, and the unit will be available in July.
