VISTA, CALIF.— Directed Electronics and Clarion recently filed suits against transshippers.
Directed said it is suing two Internet sales companies: Remote Start Depot/The Neon Source and Etronics/Supreme Video, charging unauthorized sale of products incorporating Directed's patented technology.
The lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court of Southern California. Directed general counsel, KC Bean, said the company is seeking a court injunction against further unauthorized sale of Directed products and damages "for any injury we have experienced."
Clarion recently filed separate suits against both Koby International, with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and Babas Electronics. Both are downtown Los Angeles distributors. Koby is charged with the unauthorized sale and advertisement of Clarion's products, and Babas is charged with false advertising, unfair competition and tortious interference with contractual relationships between Clarion and its authorized dealers.
