Jasc Ships Latest Paint Shop Imaging Software

Eden Prairie, Minn. — Jasc Software introduced the fifth version of its Paint Shop Photo Album program. Photo Album 5 will offer a host of improvement including a new, tab-based user interface to better segment the program's editing, organizing and 17 sharing features. Jasc also added more photo projects for the "digital scrapbooker," while an automatic archiving function called PhotoSafe prompts users to burn photo CDs to back up their digital photos. The program can resize images so that they can be e-mailed to Internet-enabled cellular phones. Photo Album 5 will be available in two retail SKUs. A deluxe version for $49.99 will ship with a third-party photo recovery software, Avery photo paper and CD labels. A home version for $29.99 will be slightly de-featured and ship without the extras.
