Gentec Travel Charger Primed For Global Travel Service

By Staff -- TWICE, 5/3/2004

Markham, Ontario— A travel charger that charges AA and AAA batteries in four hours or less is new from Gentec International.

Called the Optex Campower CP2400, the unit offers four independent channels for quick charge, trickle charge and bad-cell detection.

The charger, which is sold with four high-capacity 2400mAh AA nickel metal hydride batteries, offers 100V to 240V, AC 50/60Hz input, for worldwide use.

The product has a compact, folding AC plug design, which means no bulky AC adapter when traveling. It offers negative delta V cut-off function and has a temperature sensor to avoid battery damage from overheating.

Suggested retail is $44.57 U.S., and the unit will be available in June.
