Belkin Connects 4 Devices Using No Power

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/19/2004

Compton, Calif.— A travel-friendly, high-speed USB 2.0 hub, designed for users on the road with their laptops and multiple peripherals, is available from Belkin.

The size of a pager, the compact USB 2.0 Thumb Hub features four ports and conveniently slips into the pocket of a portable notebook storage bag without using up precious space.

The Thumb Hub, model F5U218-MOB, provides the convenience of being able to connect up to four high-speed devices without the need for a power supply. If additional power is required, the Hub includes a universal switching power supply, which is ideal for worldwide travel.

With the versatility for connection of up to four high-speed or low-speed devices, travelers can use their existing low- and full-speed devices in addition to their new high-speed devices.

The Hub, which comes with a USB extension cable, offers transfer speeds of up to 480MBps and operation with plug-and-play ease.

Suggested retail is $24.95.
