American To Open Three Locations

By Steve Smith -- TWICE, 4/19/2004

MADISON, WIS.— American TV & Appliance, the electronics/appliance chain with 11 stores in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Illinois, is planning to open three stores in St. Louis during September.

According to Dave Shepard, senior VP, the three new stores will be 130,000 square feet each, which is similar in size and merchandise mix to the chain's other stores. Shepard added that by the fourth quarter, construction would begin on a fourth store in the St. Louis area, which will open during 2005.

The chain, a former NATM member celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has combined electronics, appliance and furniture sales of $350 million.
