Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has added four executives to its board. They are: Atlantic Technology International founder/chairman Peter Tribeman, Philips Consumer Electronics North America president Reinier Jens, LG Electronics president/CEO Michael Ahn and Microsoft strategic relations & policy GM Charles Mauzy. Their terms are effective immediately and run through Dec. 31, 2006... Moxell Technology has added four senior-level executives. They are: Matt Gorman, former Sharp Electronics national accounts associate VP, who becomes sales VP; Rich Long, former LG Electronics product marketing director, who becomes product marketing senior director; Jim Capizzi, former Sharp Electronics Eastern Region associate sales VP, who becomes Eastern Region sales director and Chris Storbeck, former Wireless Retail business development VP, who becomes Western Region sales director…Toshiyuki Masai has been appointed president and CEO of Nikon's U.S. subsidiary. Masai succeeds Jack Abrams... Robert Cartwright has been named executive VP/general sales manager of Pure Digital Technologies.... Atsushi Yoneda, senior executive VP of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., has been named president and chief executive officer of the company. He succeeds Yasuo "George" Tanaka, who has been appointed to the new position of chairman... Peter Weedfald, senior VP/strategic marketing and new media for Samsung Electronics America, Allison Johnson, senior VP of global brand and communications for HP and Patrick Vogt, senior VP/general manager of Sony Electronics, will all be keynote speakers during AD: TECH San Francisco, May 24-26 at the Palace Hotel…Karyn Schoenbart and Tom Lynch have been appointed chief operating officers (COO), with joint responsibility for day-to-day operations of The NPD Group. Schoenbart, president of The NPD Group U.S., adds the COO title and has direct oversight of all North American business units and business unit support, including retail, marketing, sales, research sciences and human resources. Lynch, chief financial officer, adds the title of COO with responsibility for technology, operations, administration, finance and NPD's business units in Europe and Asia... Sam Akkapeddi, promoted by Samsung to VP of retail sales for its IT division, was previously retail sales director for the IT division…Lester Lee has been named president of Rayovac's North American business unit, with responsibility for all commercial activities of the combined Rayovac/Remington businesses… Rayovac executive VP for strategic initiatives Stephen Shanesy resigned after eight years with the battery maker…Steve Durkee, named VP/sales and marketing, and Scott Gill, VP/product development/product management, both at mounting solutions maker Chief Manufacturing.
