Plantronics Broadens Bluetooth Headset Offerings With Stylish Design, Features

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/5/2004

SANTA CRUZ, CALIF— Plantronics launched its M2500 Bluetooth headset, keying on a feature-rich product with a stylish design.

The lower-priced, hands-free Bluetooth M2500, which rounds out the company's family of mobile wireless products, offers up to five hours of talktime and 120 hours of standby time. The unit is lightweight and balanced for superior comfort, even during extended wear. It features the company's SoundGuide earpiece, which enhances the sound by providing users with a more secure fit, so that incoming conversation is heard more clearly.

The M2500 features a convenient, intuitive call control button design that gives users the freedom to answer and end calls with one touch and to access voice dialing. Users with a Bluetooth phone that supports the hands-free profile can also call the last number dialed and reject an incoming call — all directly from the headset.

Plantronics' M2500 includes a status indicator to apprise users of power status, and is equipped for in-car charging. The product will be available this summer at a suggested $89.95 retail.
