Notebook Travel Harness Allows In-Auto DVD Theater

ESCONDIDO, CALIF.— A new Notebook Travel Harness, called GearGrip, is available from CaseAce, a maker of computer and monitor transport protection systems.
The Notebook Travel Harness is said to be an inexpensive solution to installing LCD screens in vehicles for entertainment purposes. The harness will hold most notebook computers, allowing passengers to watch a movie on DVD and video CD, play video games by installing controllers, or do homework and projects with an external keyboard and mouse.
The design of the harness allows a notebook computer to be supported between the two forward seats in a car for ease of viewing by people in the rear seats. A user can listen to the built-in audio in the notebook or add an FM transmitter to send the DVD audio through the in-car speaker system. For private viewing, headphones can be plugged into the notebook.
Suggested retail for the harness — which is said to be easily installed and removed for storage, or taken down for use in another vehicle — is $34.99
