JVC Headphone Tones Down Background Noise Up To 75%

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/5/2004

WAYNE, N.J.— A noise-canceling headphone from JVC reduces background sounds by up to 75 percent. Called HA-NC100, the headphone is said to be ideal for traveling due to "the industry's only retractable cord system," a folding design and inclusive carrying pouch.

The JVC headphone, designed to deliver superior performance, sound quality and convenience, as well as noise canceling, features 36mm drivers and has a frequency response of 10Hz-20kHz. The power supply for the noise cancellation circuitry is contained within one ear piece, eliminating the need for an outboard power supply as used by some noise canceling models. Battery life is 50 hours.

The HA-NC100 features a 5-foot cord that automatically retracts into the headphone and a suggested $99.95 retail.
