Cebuhar Decides To Leave Sears

HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL.— Veteran CE merchant Chuck Cebuhar will leave Sears on Feb. 29 after 30 years with the company.
Cebuhar, who most recently helped launch Sears.com as chief merchant, said he elected to leave at the top of his game in order to return to the CE industry, where he is exploring retail- and vendor-related opportunities.
Cebuhar joined Sears straight out of school in 1974 as an industrial engineer in facility planning and by 1993 was VP/general manager of Sears' CE business. In 2000 he was named VP/general manager of Sears.com, which he helped build into a full-line Internet store.
