Storage Rack 'Floats' Form, Function

By Staff -- TWICE, 9/15/2003

Vancouver, B.C.— A CD/DVD rack for home storage, called Wavehanger, featuring a "unique" minimalist look, is being offered by Synerus Products.

The rack has a wave shape and "floating" wall mount contemporary design, which includes four curved metal "shelves" supported by stainless steel wire. Its eye-catching form appears to cascade down the wall, and stored CDs or DVDs look like they're floating on the wall, since the strong support wires are thin, said Synerus.

Aluminum racks are anodized in clear aluminum and black options. The packaged product weighs less than 11 ounces and is supplied fully assembled in a 9-in. by 9-in. by 3-in. package. A simple one-step fastener is included for wall installation, and several units can be grouped together to handle average user capacity requirements.

Synerus said it feels the current storage marketplace provides an ideal time for WaveHanger, considering the demand for elegant and contemporary storage with metal finish. Thus, the company is positioning the unit as space-saving and convenient to install.

Wavehanger is merchandised as cross-functional storage that looks great in a living room or office.

Synerus initially is offering a 4-rack product with capacity of 48 CDs or 32 DVDs. Future releases will include a 6-rack with expended capacity to 72 CDs or 48 DVDs.

Suggested retail is $19.95 and product is being shipped late this summer.
