Maxx To Show DLP Projector, New LCD Panel

Indianapolis— High-end home theater display supplier Maxx, based in Redwood City, Calif., will use CEDIA Expo to unveil a 30W-inch HDTV LCD monitor and a new DLP projector based on TI's HD2 "Mustang" DMD chip.

The Maxx 3000 LCD TV, available now at $4,495, offers 1,280 by 768 pixel resolution, two built-in 7-watt speakers and a built-in NTSC TV tuner.

Contrast ratio is listed at 500:1 and brightness is listed at 500 Nit. Source inputs include a DB-15 PC connector, DVI, HD component video, composite and S-Video.

The Maxx Mustang DLP projector ($7,995 suggested retail) is based on TI's Advanced HD-2 Double Data Rate DLP technology and offers 1,280 by 720 pixel resolution. The unit also provides a connectivity package including: DVI-HDCP, component video and and S-Video hookups.
