Fujitsu To Bow 5 Plasma Displays

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 9/1/2003

Indianapolis— Fujitsu General America will unveil five new plasma displays in its home-theater-focused Plasmavision SlimScreen line at CEDIA Expo.

The new models will be on display at Fujitsu Booth 406 in the Indianapolis Convention Center.

The highlights of the new offerings include Fujitsu's largest panel to date – the 63W-inch P63XHA — and a new industry screen size, 55W-inch, in the P55XHA. Both panels feature high-definition resolution capability.

The remaining new models include a 50W-inch monitor, the P50XHA30, and two new 42W-inch monitors, the P42HHA30, and P42VHA30. All five Plasmavision monitors feature Fujitsu's proprietary AVM (Advanced Video Movement) digital video processing.

All models include a DVI-D digital input with High Definition Content Protection (HDCP). They also feature built-in stereo audio amplifiers for stand-alone multimedia or home entertainment applications, using optional available matching speakers. The monitors also include an RS-232 control port for integrated system operation.

Availability is planned for January of 2004 with suggested retail pricing to be announced.
