JVC To Intro New HDTVs

Indianapolis— JVC's consumer products group will use CEDIA Expo to unveil its first LCD television and a new plasma display.

The company's first LCD TV, the LT-26WX84, features a 1,024 by 768 WXGA panel.

The 42W-inch plasma display, the PD-42WX84 is also 1,024 by 768.

Details, pricing and ship dates will be announced at the Expo.

Other key HDTV components in the JVC line include the recently launched GR-HD1 high -definition consumer camcorder, a new HM-DH40000 D-VHS digital HD recorder/player, and a range of high-definition monitor televisions.

Other featured products at the JVC exhibit include: new DVD/VHS combination units, including the industry's first S-VHS model, the HR-XVS44U; the company's latest generation D-VHS digital recorder/player, the HM-DH40000, which offers an additional record/play speed, linear PCM audio and a new color GUI menu; the XV-NA77 DVD Audio/Video player; and a noise-canceling headphone, the HA-NC100.

In audio introductions, JVC will include a new flagship A/V receiver, the RX-DP20VBK, which is a THX Ultra 2 certified product that is said to be fully compatible with new high-resolution audio formats.
