Gemini Appoints Bellow Brothers To Exec Positions

By Jeff Malester -- TWICE, 7/21/2003

Clifton, N.J.— Looking to strengthen its presence in the connected home and to accelerate its ongoing expansion into new channels of distribution, Gemini Industries has announced the hiring of two sales and marketing executives, most recently with Belkin.

Steve Bellow has joined Gemini as marketing and product development senior VP and Dwayne Bellow has been named senior sales VP. Both are new positions at the broad-based accessories maker.

Steve Bellow most recently had been sales and marketing VP at Compton, Calif.-based Belkin, a supplier of cables, surge protectors and other accessories to the consumer electronics, mass market and office products retailers. He joined Belkin in 1983 and had overall responsibility for all activities involving sales, marketing, product development and technical support.

Dwayne Bellow most recently had been Belkin's senior director of sales, responsible for all business development activities in North America, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. He also launched Belkin into Europe in 1995, and had been with the company since 1985.

The two execs, who are brothers, are expected to significantly increase Gemini's ongoing expansion into new channels of distribution, the marketing of innovative products and new technologies and the broadening of its accessories offering in North America and internationally.

"With the convergence of computer and audio/video technologies, the addition of Steve and Dwayne will strengthen Gemini's efforts to help retailers assist their customers in networking and controlling their homes to maximize their entertainment experiences," said Mike O'Neal, Gemini CEO.

"One of Steve's key goals will be to address Gemini's interest in creating an extensive connectivity capability that will deal with all technological options for networking and controlling homes and home offices," said O'Neal.

Dwayne will concentrate on extending Gemini's reach, both globally and domestically within existing distribution channels and those not traditionally Gemini's focus," he said.
