Rochester, N.Y.— Two new chargers for rechargeable batteries, including one that charges a pair of AA cells in one hour, are available from Eastman Kodak.
Sold under the Kodak Max brand, model K6000 will charge a pair of high capacity AA or nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries in 60 minutes. The charger is compatible with voltage systems worldwide and charges two or four AAs or two AAAs, and will be sold as a system with four 2100mAh AA Kodak Max rechargeable digital camera batteries. Suggested retail is $42.95.
Kodak also is making available model K600, a new Kodak Max charger that provides overnight capability for two or four AA or AAA batteries at a more affordable $16.95 suggested retail.
The company is introducing a family of high performance Kodak Max rechargeable digital camera batteries, designed to offer up to three times the pictures in a digital camera, compared with alkaline batteries. The NiMH AA cells are rated at 2100mAh and offer up to 1,000 charge and recharge recycles. Suggested retail for a 4-pack of AA Kodak Max rechargeable batteries is $18.95.
In addition, for 2003, Kodak has changed the name and improved the performance of its Kodak Max CRV3 lithium photo battery. Starting later this summer, the battery will carry the Kodak Max digital camera battery name and graphics, and will offer up to 23 percent longer life than the year-earlier version, said the company. The battery is designed for use with Kodak EasyShare DX and CX series digital cameras, as well as digital cameras from other makers.
