Ray Brown, electronics VP/general manager of Sears, has been named marketing VP of retail, replacing Jeffrey Haines, who was named strategic marketing and merchandising integration VP. A Sears spokesperson added that Brown will continue to be responsible for Sears' electronics business until a replacement has been named… In a continuing change in Best Buy's management structure, Lee Simonson has been named business team leader for Picture, which includes TVs. Chris Koller has the same responsibilities for Source, which includes DVD, DBS, PVRs and digital cable, and John Maskell, business team leader for Sound, which covers audio. Lisa Carlson, former projection TV senior buyer, moves to camcorders. Replacing Carlson is Alan Halvorson, who was the 27-inch and under TV buyer…Michael Blumberg, former senior VP of Sound Advice and, more recently, senior purchasing VP for Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, will leave the company in September. Former Staples exec Philo Pappas, now senior VP/chief merchandising officer, replaces him. Also, Noah Herschman, formerly VP/video merchandising, has been named VP/strategic business development, a new position...XM Satellite Radio has promoted eight execs: Joe Titlebaum, from senior VP/general counsel to executive VP/general counsel; Neil Eastman, from VP advance applications, engineering & technology department to senior VP; Patricia Kesling, from VP marketing and operations to senior VP; Tony Masiello, from VP operations to senior VP; Dan Murphy, from VP retail sales and distribution to senior VP; Jeff Snyder, from VP repeater operations to senior VP; Daniel Battista, from advance applications director product development VP; and Kevin Straley, from talk programming director to VP.
