Jasco Debuts 'Results'-Oriented Installation Kits

Oklahoma City— Three GE-brand customer installation kits, designed to put fun and simplicity for consumers back into audio/video hook-ups, are being introduced by Jasco Products.
The kit trio, which is expected to offer users results, rather than confusion, are packaged and marketed as, "the kit for beginners," with "E-Z as 1,2,3" name and "E-Z" to follow instructions, according to the company.
The GE DVD Home Theater Pack, AV90180, comes equipped with two, 6-foot Ultra Prograde audio/video cables that include RCA connectors and 100-foot, 16-gauge speaker wire for connection to home theater speakers. The cable offers 24-karat gold connectors to maximize audio and video signals, double shielded audio and video cables to enhance clarity and prevent ghosting and copper and silver coded speaker wire to ensure correct polarity hook-up. Suggested retail is $34.99.
The GE DVD Home Theater Pack S-Video Series, AV90181, includes two, 6-foot audio/S-video cables and 100 feet of 16-gauge speaker wire for electronic equipment connections. The packs are designed as starter kits to connect a DVD player and other home theater equipment. The packs are also compatible with Pro Logic receivers, VCRs, digital video recorders, satellite receivers and other A/V devices. Suggested retail is $39.99.
The GE DVD Connection Pack, AV90179, is packaged with everything needed to connect a DVD player to televisions equipped with only one OEF-type input.
Since today's DVD players do not come with coaxial outputs and many televisions are equipped with a single coaxial input, conventional methods don't allow for use of DVDs on this type of television, said Jasco.
But with the Video Converter RF Modulator, the problem is eliminated, said Jasco, allowing the hook-up of DVD players to this type of television. After installation, the Video Converter will automatically switch from television to connected component when the power is turned on.
Included are one GE Video Converter FR Modulator, one GE 6-foot A/V cable and one GE 6-foot video cable. The Connection Pack also is compatible with video games, camcorders, karaoke players and other A/V equipment with RCA-type outlets. Suggested retail is $29.99.
