Memorex Debuts 4x DVD, Ultra Speed CD-RW Media

Santa Fe Springs, Calif.— Memorex Products is introducing 4x DVD and CD-RW 24x Ultra-Speed media. These burn at twice the speed currently available.
Memorex 4x DVD media is available in DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD-R formats. The media is backward compatible and compatible with the next generation of DVD burners. It will be in stores later this quarter in the following formats and quantities.
- DVD+R: 3-, 5- and 10-packs; 25- and 50-pack spindles. Suggested retails range from $10.99 to $129.99.
- DVD+RW: 3-, 5- and 10-packs. Suggested retails range from $17.99 to $59.99.
- DVD-R: 3-, 5- and 10-packs; 25- and 50-pack spindles. Suggested retails range from $10.99 to $129.99.
Memorex CD-RW Ultra Speed media is designed to work with 16x to 24x rewrite speeds and is ideal for hard-drive backup, CD authoring and archiving and repeated recording. It is the media choice for rewriting with 24x CD-RW burners.
CD-RW Ultra Speed media was scheduled to be in stores in January at a suggested retail of $7.99 for a package of five discs.
