GERS Enhances Its Enterprise Platform

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 1/20/2003

LAS VEGAS— GERS Retail Systems introduced a host of enhancements across its product line at CES.

The San Diego-based retail systems software provider unveiled the next generation of its Electronic Retail Enterprise, including the latest version of Enterprise1, with new features for enhanced inventory control and automated processing, and a new release of Customer1, which includes new applications for optimizing customer transaction management in real time across the enterprise.

As the foundation of the Electronic Retail Enterprise, Enterprise1 provides the tools for retailers to manage all merchandising, distribution, and financial operations. With more than 25,000 development hours invested in the latest release, Version 10.2.2 offers greater inventory control via radio frequency warehousing by allowing both bulk merchandise management and serial number tracking for uniquely identified merchandise. Enterprise1 Version 10.2.2 also further automates processing of service orders and sales management functions to increase accuracy, lower costs, and speed checkout time, the company said.

GERS also previewed the latest version, 2.0, which features nine additional applications that further its ability to optimize online, real time customer transaction management across the enterprise.
